Recurring concerns can leave you unsure what to try next. You don’t need to arrive with a diagnosis. Bring your questions, your history and what matters to you.

Your first two visits
Your first visit begins before you arrive. Jane carefully reviews your completed health form, any relevant information shared with Kate, and any existing imaging we’re able to access. This helps her understand the broader context of your concerns and prepare relevant questions before meeting you.
During your appointment, Jane starts by listening to what has brought you in, how it affects your everyday life and what you would like help with. Your conversation then guides a focused examination tailored to your history, presentation and goals.
Included · Beyond the appointment
Where needed, Jane works beyond your appointment to interpret relevant imaging and reports alongside your history and examination findings, bringing her clinical experience to the full picture.
This review is included in your $195 pathway, so you return to a considered explanation, individual recommendations and time to discuss your next step.
Jane explains your findings, reviews relevant existing imaging where applicable, and discusses her recommendations. Ask your questions, then receive your first adjustment if clinically appropriate and you choose to proceed.
The experience, in their words
Patients consistently describe Jane as professional, caring and approachable—with Kate helping create a warm welcome from the moment you arrive.

Meet Dr Jane Hardy
For Jane, great chiropractic care starts with understanding the person in front of her—what’s troubling you, how it affects your life and what you want to get back to doing.
For Jane, great chiropractic care starts with taking the time to truly understand the person in front of her — how their body is functioning, what may be contributing to their concerns, and what they ultimately want to get back to doing.
Originally from Australia, Jane moved to New Zealand to study at the world-renowned New Zealand College of Chiropractic, graduating in 2008 and receiving the Clinical Excellence Award. After returning to Australia, Jane and her husband Nigel eventually made the Northern Rivers home, opening Casuarina Chiropractic in 2018.
Jane is passionate about providing thorough, individualised care. She believes people deserve more than a quick fix — they should understand what’s going on, why it matters, and the options available to help them move forward. Her approach combines detailed assessment, chiropractic care and, where appropriate, spinal decompression therapy.
Introducing spinal decompression therapy to the practice has allowed Jane to offer another approach for people with more complex spinal concerns, as well as those looking to improve the way their spine moves and functions. She particularly enjoys working with people who are motivated to take an active role in their care — whether their goal is getting back to everyday life, returning to something they love, or seeing what their body is capable of.
Away from the practice, family comes first for Dr Jane. She loves spending time with her husband Nigel and their daughters, Eva and Scarlett, and making the most of the active coastal lifestyle they’re fortunate to call home. Being part of the local community — both as a family and through Casuarina Chiropractic — is something she genuinely values.
For Jane, it all comes back to one simple philosophy: understand your body, look after it well, and never underestimate what it may be capable of.

0498 012 334First visits & fees
Your $195 covers both visits: consultation and examination, explanation of findings, review of relevant existing imaging if applicable, individual recommendations, time for questions and your first adjustment if clinically appropriate. If no adjustment is provided, the total across both visits is $160. Ongoing care beyond these two visits is additional, with recommendations and fees discussed before you proceed.
Your first visit focuses on consultation and examination. At your second visit, Jane explains your findings and recommendations and answers your questions. Your first adjustment is included at this second visit if clinically appropriate and you choose to proceed.
The first visit is approximately 30 minutes for your consultation and examination. The second is approximately 20–30 minutes for your findings, relevant imaging review, questions and first adjustment if clinically appropriate. This sequence puts assessment and explanation before treatment.
No. Receiving your first adjustment does not require you to commit to ongoing care. Jane explains her recommendations and any ongoing fees, and you decide whether to proceed.
Preparing for your care
Not automatically. Imaging is only considered when clinically indicated, and we can arrange a referral if needed. Your care pathway includes review of relevant existing imaging where applicable, but does not include the cost of obtaining new scans. Spinal X-rays may be bulk billed, and MRI scans can often be arranged for approximately $250.
There is no need to organise new scans before your appointment unless advised. If further imaging is recommended, our team will explain the next steps and any separate costs before proceeding.
If you’ve had relevant scans or imaging, please let our team know in advance what imaging, approximately when, and where it was performed. In most cases, we can access the reports or images on your behalf so Jane can review them before your appointment.
Be ready to discuss your symptoms, health history and what you would like help with. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis.
Jane may discuss another approach, co-management or referral where indicated. An adjustment is only provided if clinically appropriate and you choose to proceed.
Booking & practical details
You will receive an initial confirmation email from our booking system. Kate will contact you when the practice is next open to confirm the details and arrange your paperwork. Please complete and return your forms before your appointment so Jane has time to review them. If you cannot complete them beforehand, arrive 15 minutes early to fill them in at the practice.
Wear comfortable clothing that is not too bulky. For the examination, you may be asked to remove items from your pockets and take off a belt.
Payment is due at the time of your appointment.
If you have private health cover, we can provide a receipt for you to submit to your fund. Any rebate will depend on your level of cover.
Patients referred by their GP under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan may be eligible for Medicare rebates for chiropractic care. Please bring your valid referral to your appointment.
We also welcome eligible DVA Veteran Card holders with a valid referral for chiropractic care.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. The full appointment fee may be charged for a missed appointment or cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Card details may be taken to secure your booking. Your card is not charged in advance, but it may be charged if you do not attend or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice.
